Cotton buds are usually made from plastic, and 1.5 billion single use cotton buds are used every day worldwide. Replacing the plastic stick with bamboo can help make a small difference to reducing our waste. Bamboo requires little fertiliser, pesticide and water, and the buds can be composted at the end of life.
